UPDATE MARCH 15 2021: Vitality Wellness clinic is open for in person appointments. Please book online or email carolynpridhampt@gmail.com to reschedule any missed appointments. COVID protocols are of course still in place at the clinic. See below for details.

PAST NOTICES:

To my valued patients,

As our province prepares to move into Alert Level 3 this means physiotherapy clinics will be allowed to open.

If you have an upcoming appointment please note that things will look a little different leading up to and during your appointment.

Before you arrive for your appointment it is important that you take the time to check your email for important information regarding new policies and procedures. Please note that it is mandatory to fill out the COVID-19 screening questionnaire that will be emailed you the day before your appointment. This questionnaire is administered through our online booking system and should be submitted through this platform. If you do not have an email you will receive a call 24 hours before your appointment time.

Please note that because our profession often relies on a large amount of physical contact, your risk of contracting COVID-19 is higher than if you were to have a Telehealth appointment. By attending your appointment in clinic you are acknowledging and consenting to this increased risk. With that being said, Vitality Physiotherapy has put into place the following protocols as indicated by our NLCP and the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador:

  1. Please wait in your car until your appointment time. Do not come early. I have spaced patients 15 minutes apart to decrease the chance of patient-patient contact and allow for adequate time to clean all equipment and furniture. Highly trafficked areas will be cleaned on a more regular basis.

  2. You MUST wear a mask to your appointment. This can be cloth or procedural. I will be wearing a mask for our entire session as mandated by our college. I will also be wearing gloves for any hands-on treatment as per pre-COVID-19.

  3. When you enter my office, I will require you to wash your hands in my sink for at least 20 seconds. You will also be required to wash your hands for 20 seconds before you leave the clinic.

  4. The college is recommending patients attend their appointments independently unless you are a minor or require the assistance of another person/caregiver. In the case of new moms, it is recommended you find child-care for your baby. If you have to bring your child, please know that you are taking full responsibility for increasing their chance of transmission. Please also limit what you bring to your appointment (ie large purses, toys, diaper bags, etc). Keep all cellphones or personal items in your pockets or bag.

  5. If you are feeling ill or have any of the symptoms listed on the questionnaire you will be required to reschedule your appointment. Cancelation fees are waved at this time.

  6. Telehealth is still offered when I return to clinic. If you would prefer to use this method of assessment and follow-up instead of in-person treatment please email me at carolynpridhampt@gmail.com and I will give you more information regarding this. You can also click here the see FAQ's regarding Telehealth and if you would be a suitable candidate for this form of therapy.

If you are un-well please reschedule your appointment for 14 days later.
It is important we all work together to make sure we can continue to provide services in a safe healthy manner.

Sincerely,

Carolyn Pridham
